LAHORKA -

Manifesting in Oakland in 2024 after years of prior collaboration between friends Miguel Hernández Domenech (synths, drum machines) and Pedro Rolón Machado (vocals, synths). Culling from their experiences in the experimental underground music scene in both Oakland and Puerto Rico (where they both hail from), they envision LAHORKA as a laboratory for embodied anarchic dissent. By taking cues from a shared love of punk, EBM, 90s acid, and early tape and synthesizer experiments, their sound streamlines these threads of machine and human music into straightforward and hypnotic tracks, as showcased in their 2025 autonomously produced and recorded demo tape.
